Intro
In this course we will study skin disorders related to the gut-brain-skin axis. Specifically, we will address how an imbalance in the axis can affect the health of the skin and the dermatological conditions of patients.
We will delve into the relationship between the microbiota, diet and mental health with the skin: we will analyze, based on scientific evidence, the use of diets, nutricosmetics and probiotics in skin aging and skin pathologies, as well as the choice of treatments for patients. In addition, we will introduce the concept of quality of life in dermatology.
The course is designed to address the study of skin conditions from a holistic perspective, combining knowledge of dermatology with other disciplines such as nutrition and psychology.

Course objectives
Identify patients with specific needs and refer them, if necessary, to other specialists such as psychologists, nutritionists or gastroenterologists.
Know the different exposomal factors and how they are related to skin pathologies.
Improve counseling for patients taking into account different imbalances in the gut-brain-skin axis and determine the treatments recommended in each case.
Take into account, throughout the process with patients, the concept of quality of life: know the tools to measure it and its level of involvement by different skin pathologies in order to offer a better quality of care.
The experience of learning with ISD
A small sample of the ISD experience. Continue delving into the gut-brain-skin axis and everything related to the influence of the microbiota on dermatological health in our Expert Diploma.
