Intro
In this course we will delve into the cutaneous impact of the main trends in skin, hair and nails: from tattoos and piercings to fashionable cosmetic procedures in beauty salons and clinics.
We will study in depth the role of cosmetics, their formulas and ingredients in the treatment of skin conditions from a rigorous scientific perspective. The goal: to be able to prescribe them, adapting to the needs of each patient.
We will also explore the close connection between lifestyle (sport, social habits and practices, etc.) and skin diseases, aiming to provide a comprehensive dermatological study to our patients.

Course objectives
To consider the significance of people’s lifestyle for the health and appearance of their skin in the context of dermatological practice.
To offer a rigorous and exhaustive analysis of dermocosmetics and their effect on the skin.
To learn about current social and aesthetic practices (consumption habits, beauty and fashion) and analyze their impact on the skin.
To study the impact of certain professional and sports practices on the condition of the skin, as well as the main prevention and treatment strategies.
To understand the diversity of patients in consultation and to adapt care to their specific needs.

STUDYING TIME
The course lasts 6 months. We do not impose class schedules so that you can organize your study as you choose. In addition, we will regularly inform you of the key moments of the course to facilitate the planning of your work. We recommend a weekly dedication of 6 hours.
CONTENT
The course combines theoretical content and microlearning pieces in different multimedia formats: videos, interactive material and self-assessment exercises to better internalize the content. Weekly we will publish a new unit on the platform.
ASSESSMENT
There are several mandatory assessment activities throughout the course. You must meet the delivery deadlines and obtain a minimum grade in each of them to pass the course and receive your Expert Diploma.

Dr. Susana Puig, a world leader in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and skin cancer, leads the Exposome and skin Expert Diploma.
The creation of the original contents of the course corresponds to the professors of the International School of Derma: a group of prestigious international experts in medicine and dermatology. Each of them is the author of the topics that she will teach throughout the course.
